deviantART

So, yeah

Tue Mar 7, 2006, 11:47 PM
I didn't really leave much of an explanation of leaving deviantArt. Well, there isn't really much of an explanation required.

1). My older works needed to be removed, for the sake of your occipital nerves.

2). I don't really care much for the atmosphere on dA. It's much much more friendly/user-oriented elsewhere.

3). Because I said so.

So, I willn't be uploading anymore junk here, but I will maintain a slight presence around here, commenting on stuff and keeping tabs on peeps. ;3 Anyway, so long.

So long, peeps.

Something

This will probably be a long entry, but, since I have a thought process going, read on if you'd like. This is the culmination of roughly a year and a few months of publicing showcasing on the internet. Deal with it.

There are mainly 3 groups of people, to me anyway, that have either a two-way or one-way relationship in any of the art sites I've posted art to. The first are 'friends'; people I can safely say that I have a bond to that is not mimicry, is not false, and is a true friendship, even if most of the people here I have not had the pleasure of meeting. I treat my friends with the utmost respect, decency, and sensibility that I have in me. I do screw up somtimes, but what doesn't kill you (friendship-wise), makes you stronger. I talk to these types of people as often as I can, as I really appreciate them.

The second group of people are 'people that I respect'. They may not have the same bond level as a 'friend' but it is a civil relationship and treated with the same respect I would like shown on me. Note, that most people I respect is an 'in the eye of the beholder' thing and not inherent to most of my other colleagues. These people I only occasionally talk to, and usually, if it warrants, I would like people here to move to 'friend' level.

Thirdly, and probably the focal point of my journal, are the 'fans'. Now, 'fans' in general I do not have a problem with, but don't confuse that with 'I -want- more fans.' I have touched on this several times in the past, but I don't appreciate most free-loading requesters and shameless gushers all that much. Now, 'fans' that make themselves out to be my 'friends', -that- I do have a problem with. A very BIG problem. Why? A 'fan' that tries to mimic the status of a 'friend' just sits themselves comfortably at a distance and calls that 'friendship' when there is nothing there in terms of a bond. Nothing. If there is anything I do not want to get mixed up in, it is the delusional behavior of people like this that try to pass me off as their 'trophy friend' I like to call it. I have no respect for people like that and, as I have done in the past, I will continue to cast a leery glare on those types of people and will insta-blacklist them.

If you're reading this (Drakin, ZeroWhitefang, Sam_Mag, Steve, etc.), and you've beared the brunt of this type of "fury", you probably deserve it if you thought you had any sort of bond with me that required no effort on your part. Good night, people.

For those that think they are well adjusted to the War in Iraq situation, I have this: [link]
Please read this and spread it wherever you can. This article and video are not for the faint of heart, however. They do contain frightening and disturbing imagery. But, this is the US Government at work, and I find that fact all the more disturbing.

I'm not quite a religious person. But, remember that some of these people are wholey convinced that they are the 'saviors' for the entire human race.....that is willing to listen to them. All others are discerned with the most evil of intentions.

Ethnocentricity, whether in a local or overseas sense, is -always- a bad thing.
