Devious Journal Entry

I'm not quite a religious person. But, remember that some of these people are wholey convinced that they are the 'saviors' for the entire human race.....that is willing to listen to them. All others are discerned with the most evil of intentions.

Ethnocentricity, whether in a local or overseas sense, is -always- a bad thing.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate.
All those moments will be lost in time, like.. tears in rain.

Time to die.

I AM religious and I find a lot of these people dispicable and disgraceful. :x Some of them have their hearts in the right place. It's g0od to be righteously angry at wrongdoing. But some of these people are actually committing blasphemy, such as the Ku Klux Kult. Why we tolerate these types is beyond me. The ones that say "God hates America" should be deported for treason. :shakefist:

I believe the real fault only arises when they believe that their opinions are exclusively correct and won't accept productive discourse from others on the subject, especially since most religions also concern pretty fantastic things that can't be rationally defended by anything but faith. and worse yet is when they feign tolerence and continue to push their ideals without giving anything else a moment's thought. :(

But, there are those who are willing to discern the best aspects of their religion or ideology and work mostly upon them, like Woody Guthrie. :)

And those are the people I tend to respect the most. :)

I'm a christian too, not a very strong but, but yeah, those people take religion to the EXTREME! I have plenty of Gay friends, i dont care: Because thats the way they run their life. Gay people arent really different from us, just in the fact that they can't experience having a child or something >> They can still beleive and be saved. THos pictures are people just using religion as an excuse to revolt and riot, i bet alot of those people aren't even christians...

It seems that only accepted sinners can truly understand the teachings of God. I do not want to be any of those people that say that a specific person is wrong for what their preferences are. Hugs for everyone! :glomp:

Not to mention getting 'proof' of them commiting acts that would earn them favor to some higher power. I.E. the photos of the people protesting against the Terri Schiavo ruling. "Sure, we know we are escalating the issue, but, lookee me! I'm praying! I'm gonna git me inta heav'n!"

I think it's the whole 'Christian Fundamentalist' thing is why we have these types in the first place. The people that want to do their lord's 'bidding', like genocide, racial discrimination, unnnecessary involvement in personal affairs, etc., as an excuse to do what is either on their own personal agenda or that of a collective group or conscious. But, here's the gold, they are 'unaware' what they are doing isn't detremental to society. If more people like [link] this eventually become widespread in whatever media, people will start to think twice about religion (western, that is).
